Homeless In Kuala Lumpur.

From my observation the problem of Homelessness is increasing day by day significantly. Most of the homeless people around Kuala Lumpur are locals, who are separated from their families or have no family to go home to.

Usually, they are people who have been evicted from their place of residence, do not have enough income to pay the rent, are unemployed for a long period of time, have large debts, have disabilities or health problems such as diabetes, hypertension, HIV, drug addicts, have mental problems , experiencing disputes with their families, as well as being victims of major disasters.

More and more people over the age of 60 are homeless because they have no savings.

To overcome this problem, the government in collaboration with NGOs has taken several initiatives, including opening a Homeless Transit Center. The Kuala Lumpur Homeless Transit Center was developed as one of the Government's initiatives to help the homeless around the capital.
